Features Code

The Feature Code module allows the admin to view and manage system-defined feature codes used to perform specific telephony actions directly from a phone or softphone.

Feature codes are short dial codes that enable users to quickly access system functionalities such as call forwarding, voicemail, Do Not Disturb (DND), and more.

*411Dial By Name DirectoryThis feature code allows callers to search and connect with extension by entering the first or last name 3 letters of their name using the phone keypad. For example, if the extension name is Rupinder, press 787 after dialing *411.
*72Enable Call ForwardThis feature code enables Call Forward, allowing incoming calls to an extension to be redirected to another extension or external number.
*73Disable Call ForwardThis feature code disables Call Forward, restoring the normal call routing behavior of an extension.
*78Enable Do Not Disturb(DND)This feature code activates the Do Not Disturb mode for the dialed extension, ensuring uninterrupted privacy by blocking incoming calls until the Do Not Disturb mode is disabled.
*79Disable Do Not Disturb(DND)This feature code deactivates the Do Not Disturb mode, allowing normal communication channels to be restored and ensuring extensions can receive calls as usual.
*8Group InterceptThis feature code allows interception of calls ringing to a call group of which the user is a member.
*870RedialThis feature code initiates a redial of the last dialed number, allowing for quick reconnection with the previously contacted number.
*97Check Own Voicemail MessagesThis feature code allows a user to access their own voicemail box. The system automatically detects the user’s extension and prompts for the voicemail password.
*98Check Any Voicemail MessagesThis feature code allows access to any voicemail box. The system prompts for both the extension number (voicemail box ID) and the corresponding password.

All feature codes are system-defined and typically cannot be deleted but can be enabled or disabled as needed.
